128 individual pieces are joined to create "Rag Time", a timepiece made from solid black walnut and painted poplar.
We call them "timepieces" or "time frames" because we don't make the "clocks", which are fine-quality quartz-crystal battery-operated movements with continuous-sweep second hands.
The frames, or platforms, for them are hand-crafted from American and exotic hardwoods in our Lakeland, Florida workshop.
"Ragtime", above, and the others shown below are currently on display, and for sale, at Lakeland's Arts on The Park gallery at 115 N. Kentucky Avenue as part of the second annual Artists Showcase and Holiday Market. The gallery is open on Wednesdays from 12:00 until 4:00 and Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 12:00 until 8:00.
Come by and browse whenever you have the time (but especially if you don't).
